Recent Update on the Modernization for DTHS
Recent Update from the February 5th meeting on the Fundraiser Committee Meeting.
Starting December 4th the Grade 5/6 class will begin their Kayaking lessons for the follow 3 Tuesdays up until Christmas break. The Grade 7's will begin their Kayaking lessons starting the new year on January 8 for the following 3 Tuesdays. With the remaining grades, K, 1, and 2s beginning after spring break.
Thank you to all the parents for all the donations and support towards the Penny Carnival! Over $6,600 was raised and all of it will support field trips and activities for every class. Each student in Leslieville will benefit which is one of our only fundraisers that we do. Thanks to all the local businesses and individuals that supported the silent auction and the Grade 6 & 7 students for helping during the event.
To enhance our existing absence-checking procedure, we are introducing a new, more efficient student absence reporting system called SafeArrival. This new system will reduce the time it takes to verify student attendance, make it easy for you to report your child’s absence and easy for staff to respond to unexplained student absences.
There are 3 easy and convenient ways to submit your child absence from school.
1. Use the SafeArrival website, https://go.schoolmessenger.com. The first time you use the website, select Sign Up to create your account. Select Attendance then Report an Absence.
2. Call the toll-free number 1-855-756-2797 to report an absence using the automated phone system.
3. Download and install the SchoolMessenger app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
